![]() Dear Joe and Marilyn, Your program changed my step-son's life. I've watched him become a healthy, focused young man with the dedication and goals that will ensure a bright future. I'm convinced he would never have had the opportunity to understand his potential or grow into the man he has become without your program. I cannot thank you enough for all you have done, and in turn, what he has done for himself. - Lisa, parent of Mountain Meadows Youth Ranch student. ![]() |
Mountain Meadow Youth Ranch is a small, structured transitional residential program with an enrollment of 8-12 students.
It is our goal to work with each individual to address academic, emotional and intellectual needs.
We offer a structured daily living program that allows students to live simply and take on more responsibility
as they mature. Ranch chores, athletic events, group projects and enjoyable outdoor activities such as hiking,
fishing, snow-shoeing, mountain biking and skiing in a pristine natural environment provide a therapeutic
physical component to the program. A goal at Mountain Meadows is to promote experiential learning in a supportive educational environment and provide a strong component of community involvement. Students attend local AA or NA meetings, church services and engage in numerous service projects, helping senior citizens and local community organizations. Students also learn life skills and work ethics which help prepare them for future journeys such as college and employment. Mountain Meadows encourages and helps each individual youth with their goals for employment and or expanded learning with college or trade schools. Guiding them and providing resources for optimal decision making. Family involvement is very important to our process and parents are encouraged to visit the program when their schedules permit. Educational emotional growth assignments and group check-ins help our student’s process difficult emotional issues and resolve problematic behavior patterns. Family members are invited to attend family conferences and participate in assignments designed to promote personal growth and improve relationships. Students are taught about and how to set personal boundaries while learning to respect others. Mountain Meadows encourages family healing and positive change while allowing students the structure needed when addressing hard issues and personal growth during these times. Mountain Meadows Youth Ranch offers a wide variety of healthy, organic foods. Our students' diet includes fruit and vegetables from our orchard and garden, and eggs from free-ranging chickens. Crystal clear water is supplied by our natural mountain-fed spring. | ||
